Always Zzz Period Underwear Review

For years and years of my life, since I was eleven I have had the hardest time with my monthly cycle. My monthly cycle would last seven days and six nights. There were times when I had to be picked from school because of various issues regarding my monthly cycle. Sometimes I would be in so much pain I could barely stand it. Then there would be the times I need new clothes because of accidents. For an entire week, every month my flow would be super-duper heavy. My mom would come sign me out of school all the time and the only comfort I would receive came from lying on the cold bathroom floor.

During that week I never got a good night’s rest because I was worried. I was worried that I would have more accidents throughout the night. I would lie there and wait for it to happen. You can’t even imagine the anxiety, well if you a woman you probably can imagine. So for the past 25 years of my life, one week out of the month I have never gotten a good night’s rest due to paranoia. I would be in fear of having to change my underwear, my pajamas, the covers and/or sheets.

As I gotten older I found ways to deal. Instead of lying directly on the sheets, I would lay on a towel. Then I would also get super overnight pads and line my underwear with them and finally I would wear girdle-like underwear to hold everything in place. It was the most uncomfortable sleep ever. First of all it is difficult to stay on a towel if you’re in deep sleep. So, I was never in a deep sleep because I always had to be aware of whether or not I slipped off the towel. Secondly, wearing to sanitary napkins feels like you’re wearing diaper and now grown woman or child wants to feel like they are wearing a diaper. Thirdly, girdle-like underwear are really tight and they dig into your skin. That is not the best feeling! If you have ever worn shapewear then you know the feeling.

Sleeping like this for 25 years is dreadful and you hate it. Luckily I have found a solution to my problem. Recently I saw an ad on Instagram for Always ZZZ Period Underwear. Now there have been times in the past where I have tried depends at night, but they were slightly uncomfortable. Needless to say they didn’t work for me either.  BUT… these Always Period Underwear peeked my interest. So I ventured to Wally World to see if they had them in stock and low and behold there was one box left. I snatched those things up quicker and tighter than a Khardashian’s waistline.

Product: Always ZZZ Period Underwear are disposable underwear that comes in two sizes. The first size is small/medium and the other is large. They claim that the underwear gives you 360 degrees of cover from the roota to the toota. For a worry free night! They claim to be made with a soft and breathable material that will provide a panty-like feel. They also claim that the underwear will stay in place and won’t move.

Packaging: Always ZZZ Period Underwear comes in a black and gold box, which I love. It appears to be chic and modern and period underwear are modern.  I love how there isn’t much wording on the front cover but, on the sides it tells you exactly what you’re getting. On the packaging it describes the customer that these are made for in three bullet points.

  • Have leaks at night on your period
  • Can’t sleep because of leakage worries
  • Don’t feel secure even with overnight pads

Y’all if that ain’t me. They described me to a tee! It was like they were calling my name!

Performance: Disposable Period Panties are Heaven sent. I slept like a baby when my period was on this last time. I slept through the night and got some of that good REM sleep. I could sleep on my back, my side, or my stomach and not worry. The underwear were soft and they weren’t bulky. It felt like I had on my regular everyday underwear. The only thing I did not like about the underwear was the light scent that came with them. Yes, the underwear was scented! I would prefer they not be scented, but that’s a small price I am willing to pay. I will continue to purchase this product time and time again. I even found myself putting on a pair on Saturday afternoon to laze away on the couch. So don’t get it twisted these can be used during the day as well! I am not sure about outside of the house, but definitely inside. Thanks Always for thinking of a customer like me!!!

Price: The price point for these underwear isn’t bad at all. They cost $6.97 per box and in each box you get six disposable period panties. They do have a three count box, but I didn’t look at that because I needed six of them. That’s about $1.15 per pair! That’s cheap y’all! I have already purchased my second box because I noticed it’s hard for Wal-Mart to keep them in stock. So whenever I see them I will probably just purchase a box. It can’t hurt to be stocked up on these items.

Do you think you will try these out? If you do or if you have let me know your thoughts!

Love,

Shanna C.
